• Ensuring leaders demonstrate visible commitment to environmental performance and are accountable for setting and maintaining high standards within their teams.
• Reporting, investigating, and implementing corrective and preventive actions for environmental incidents and near misses, and actively involving workers and contractors in environmental management.
• Providing appropriate information, instruction, and training to workers and contractors to support safe and environmentally responsible work practices.
• Maintaining an environmental management system that identifies, assesses, and controls environmental risks, and seeks to eliminate or minimise them so far as is reasonably practicable.
• Communicating environmental expectations and performance to workers, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Actively working to minimise pollution, waste, and emissions, including consideration of fuel efficiency, alternative energy sources, and sustainable operational practices.
• Monitoring, measuring, and reviewing environmental performance against established objectives and targets to support continual improvement.
• Encouraging open communication regarding environmental concerns, improvements, and innovations.
All of us at Support Vehicles Australia take our environmental responsibilities seriously and are committed to being an environmentally conscious company. One that is understanding of the global impact on climate change and the role we have in reducing it.
